SideShift Pricing 2026: SideShift Cost for Brands, Plans and the Real Monthly Bill
SideShift charges brands $299 to $999 a month for software, and the creators are paid on top. Below are the live plan prices on both billing toggles, the creator budget SideShift itself recommends, and the contract terms that decide what a video really costs. SideShift pricing for brands is $299 a month for Starter, $499 for Growth and $999 for Scale, or $210, $349 and $699 a month billed once a year, with a 7 day free trial on the monthly plans. Those are software fees only. SideShift's own pricing table recommends a separate creator budget of $2,000 to $5,000 a month on Starter, so the realistic SideShift cost for a brand starts around $2,300 a month. Several review sites still quote an older $199 Starter with a 5 creator cap; the live page says 15 creators. If what you need is ad variants to test rather than a creator program, UGCGen renders finished UGC-style ads from $49 a month, and our affordable UGC video services comparison prices the whole field per ad.

SideShift pricing plans on both billing toggles
SideShift's pricing page defaults to monthly billing. Flip the toggle to annual and every card drops by about 30 percent and swaps its trial button for "Launch Your Campaign", billed once a year. The feature rows below come from the same page's comparison table.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual (per month) | Paid upfront per year | Creators live at once | Recommended creator budget |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $299 | $210 | $2,520 (saves $1,068) | 15 | $2,000 to $5,000 a month |
| Growth (marked most popular) | $499 | $349 | $4,188 (saves $1,800) | 50 | $5,000 to $10,000 a month |
| Scale | $999 | $699 | $8,388 (saves $3,600) | Unlimited | $10,000 or more a month |
| Enterprise (managed) | Custom | Custom | Proposal based, scoped around a $20,000 test budget | A campaign manager hires for you | Itemized in the proposal |
| UGCGen Starter | $49 | $24 | Monthly or yearly, your choice | AI creators, no hiring | None, 100 finished ads included |
What every plan includes
Briefs, contracts and usage rights handled in the app, one-click creator payouts, 1099s and W-9s, identity checks before payouts, full usage rights for paid ads, checked view counts, API access and a connector for AI assistants.
What Growth adds
ROAS per creator for paid ads and the paid-ads tools, which Starter does not have. Also 2 job listings instead of 1, 1,000 invites instead of 200, one 48 hour job boost, 2,000 tracked videos a month instead of 600, phone support and 5 seats instead of 3.
What Scale adds
No cap on creators, 3 job listings, unlimited invites, 3 boosts, unlimited tracked videos, unlimited seats and a Slack channel with the founders. SideShift says its highest volume accounts run 1,000 or more videos a month, depending on briefs and budget.
Agencies are priced on a separate page with two models, one flat rate covering every client or per-client billing, plus a strategy call for large agencies. If you plan to run paid ads off the creator videos and want per-creator ROAS inside SideShift, the real entry plan is Growth at $499, not Starter at $299.
Most SideShift pricing articles describe an older price list
Search for SideShift pricing and you will find three different versions of the same three plans. One widely read review from July 2026 lists Starter at $199 for one to five hires and Growth at $299 for five to fifteen. Another lists $299, $499 and $999 but with the old caps of 5 and 15 creators and 30 invites. SideShift's own blog post on UGC cost still describes Starter as "up to 5 creators".
The live pricing page says something else. Starter is $299 and lets you run 15 creators at once with 200 invites. Growth is $499 with 50 creators and 1,000 invites. Scale is $999 with no creator cap. So the price went up for anyone quoting $199, and the allowance roughly tripled for anyone quoting 5 creators. Both errors matter: the first understates your bill, the second understates what a single Starter seat can run.
How to check it yourself in a minute
Open sideshift.app/pricing, read the Starter card on the monthly toggle, then flip to annual. You should see $299, then $210 "billed annually, save $1,068/yr". Scroll to "Compare every feature" for the creator caps and the recommended creator budget rows. If those numbers have moved since this page was written, trust the vendor page over any article, including this one.
SideShift cost with the creator budget added back in
SideShift writes it plainly under its comparison table: "Software plans are billed monthly. Creator budgets are separate." The subscription is the smaller half of the spend. Here is what each plan costs at the low end of the creator budget SideShift recommends for it.
| Plan | Software (monthly billing) | Low end of creator budget | Monthly total | First year, monthly billing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $299 | $2,000 | $2,299 | $27,588 |
| Growth | $499 | $5,000 | $5,499 | $65,988 |
| Scale | $999 | $10,000 | $10,999 | $131,988 |
SideShift cost per video
SideShift's own UGC cost guide puts typical creator rates at $50 to $300 per video, with most brands paying $100 to $200. Treat that as the vendor's estimate. On Starter with a $2,000 creator budget at $100 a video you get about 20 videos, and the $299 software fee adds roughly $15 to each. At $150 a video you get about 13, and the fee adds about $23. The software is cheap per video only once volume is real.
What that budget buys that AI cannot
SideShift's plans track views and CPM per creator because much of the value is creators posting on their own accounts, which is organic distribution, not just ad files. If you want real people holding your product and posting it, the creator budget is the point. If you only need ad creative to test hooks in Meta, you are paying for distribution you will not use.
What SideShift's refund policy and terms commit you to
These come from SideShift's Refund and Cancellation Policy, effective July 28, 2026, and its Terms of Service, effective September 1, 2026. Some of them favor the brand more than most marketplaces do. Some do not.
The trial converts automatically
The 7 day brand trial becomes the selected paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends, and the card on file is charged. Monthly and annual plans renew for the same period until cancelled.
No prorated refunds
Subscription charges are non-refundable once processed. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access to the end of the period, but there are no partial-period or unused-time refunds. On an annual plan that is a $2,520 to $8,388 decision.
Wallet money is only partly yours
Creator funds sit in a campaign wallet. Uncommitted principal can be withdrawn only when you have no active creator contracts, accrued pay, disputes or other balances. Funds become committed as soon as pay appears as owed, and committed funds are not refundable. Deposit and processing fees are never returned.
No refunds for weak results
The policy states there is no guarantee of views, engagement or conversions, and no refund for campaign underdelivery or poor performance. Ad platform charges are billed by Meta or TikTok directly under their own rules.
Usage rights are broad by default
This one favors you. Unless the campaign agreement narrows it, the creator grants a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license that covers paid social, whitelisting, TikTok Spark Ads and Meta partnership ads, plus use of the creator's likeness in the deliverable. Many marketplaces sell paid usage as an extra.
You cannot take a creator off-platform
For 24 months after an introduction or the last campaign with a creator, you may not hire or pay them outside SideShift without written approval. The terms set liquidated damages at the greater of $1,000 or the fees SideShift would have earned, per prohibited engagement.
SideShift does not publish a percentage fee on creator payouts on its pricing page. Its refund policy does list deposit and payment-processing fees as a category, so ask for the exact rate before you fund a wallet for the first time.
SideShift against Billo, Insense and AI UGC on cost per video
Creator marketplaces and AI generators get lumped together as "UGC", but they sell different things. The honest table keeps the price gap and the capability gap both visible.
| Option | What you buy | Entry cost | Cost per video | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SideShift | Software to recruit, brief and pay many creators who also post organically | $299 a month plus a creator budget | Creator rate plus about $15 to $23 of software at Starter volumes | High-volume creator programs with organic reach |
| Billo | Real creators filming your product | Price list gated since mid 2025; last public pack $500 | $83 to $100 on the last published packs | A handful of ad-ready product videos |
| Insense | Creator marketplace, creators paid separately | From $500 a month plus a 7 to 20 percent fee | From Insense's own $100 floor, plus fees | Whitelisting-heavy paid social |
| UGCGen | AI creators speaking your script, finished ad files | $49 a month, first ad free with no card | About $0.49 on Starter, $0.24 yearly | Testing hooks, angles and scripts before paying creators |
Billo figures are from its last public price list; see our Billo pricing page for the archive record. Insense figures are from insense.pro/pricing; the fee structure is broken down on our Insense alternative page. UGCGen per-ad figures divide the plan price by the 100 ads included on Starter.
Is SideShift worth it for your brand?
SideShift fits when
You already know which angles sell and want dozens of real creators posting them every month, with contracts, 1099s and payouts off your plate. A $2,300 to $5,500 monthly budget is normal for you, and organic views on creators' own accounts are part of the plan.
It is a stretch when
You need five videos for one launch. A $299 subscription plus creator pay plus a trial that auto-converts is a lot of structure for five files, and the 24 month non-circumvention clause means you cannot later book your favorite creator directly without SideShift's approval.
Test with AI first when
You do not yet know which hook wins. Render fifteen script variants with UGCGen, run them in Meta or TikTok for a week, and brief SideShift creators only on the two angles that earned their spend. That turns a creator budget into a bet on proven scripts.
For the rest of the human side of the market, our UGC creator marketplace comparison covers the other platforms, and the AI UGC pricing pillar lays out every AI tool's price per finished ad.
SideShift pricing questions
How much does SideShift cost?
SideShift costs $299 a month on Starter, $499 on Growth and $999 on Scale with monthly billing, or $210, $349 and $699 a month billed annually. Enterprise is custom. Creator pay is extra, and SideShift recommends at least $2,000 a month for creators on Starter, so a realistic first month runs about $2,300.
Does SideShift have a free trial?
Yes, 7 days with $0 due today on the monthly Starter, Growth and Scale plans. The refund policy says the trial rolls into the paid plan you picked unless you cancel first, and a processed subscription charge is not refunded. Set a reminder for day six if you are only evaluating.
Does SideShift have an annual plan?
Yes. Annual billing takes about 30 percent off: $210, $349 and $699 a month, billed once a year. That is $2,520, $4,188 or $8,388 upfront, and SideShift does not refund unused months, so annual is only cheaper if you are sure the program will run all year.
Is the creator pay included in SideShift pricing?
No. The pricing page says software plans are billed monthly and creator budgets are separate. SideShift recommends $2,000 to $5,000 a month on Starter, $5,000 to $10,000 on Growth and $10,000 or more on Scale. You fund a campaign wallet, and money committed to creators cannot be withdrawn.
How much do you pay creators on SideShift?
You set the pay in each campaign. SideShift's own UGC cost guide says creators typically charge $50 to $300 per video and most brands pay $100 to $200, which is the vendor's estimate rather than a price list. Pay can also be performance based, in which case the terms require you to fund whatever the campaign settings calculate.
Can I cancel SideShift anytime?
Yes, from account settings, and it takes effect at the end of the current billing period. There are no prorated or unused-time refunds. Before ending a campaign you also have to pay every creator amount already accrued, and only uncommitted wallet money can be withdrawn.
Who owns the videos made through SideShift?
By default the brand gets a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive license once payment is due, covering organic and paid use including whitelisting, Spark Ads and Meta partnership ads. The campaign agreement can narrow or widen that. Raw footage is only included if the brief asks for it.
Can I pay a SideShift creator directly?
Not without SideShift's written approval for 24 months after the introduction or your last campaign with that creator. The terms set liquidated damages at the greater of $1,000 or SideShift's lost fees for each prohibited deal. A relationship you can document from before the introduction is exempt if you disclose it promptly.
What is the best SideShift alternative?
For real creators, Billo and Insense are the closest, with different fee shapes: Billo gates its prices behind an account and Insense charges from $500 a month plus a 7 to 20 percent fee. For ad creative without recruiting anyone, UGCGen renders finished UGC-style ads from $49 a month, and you can make your first one before paying.
Find the winning hook before you fund a creator wallet
A creator program is a monthly commitment in the thousands. A script test is not. Paste a product URL, pick an AI creator and render a UGC-style ad now, then take the angles that win into your creator briefs.
