Plans from $49 a month, or $24 a month billed yearly
Short answer: for a 30 second talking-creator UGC ad, HeyGen is cheaper than Higgsfield on every entry plan. HeyGen Creator at $29 a month renders one with an Avatar V presenter for about $1.16 in credits and fits ten of them in a month using 40 percent of its credits. Higgsfield's $19 Starter cannot use its UGC builder at all, and Higgsfield Plus at $59 makes the same ad for about $4.13. Higgsfield is the better buy when you want Kling, Seedance and Veo footage in the same account.
Both price lists were read at the vendors on October 14, 2026: heygen.com/pricing and HeyGen's help-center credit tables, and higgsfield.ai/pricing with its per-model rate card. Several of the pages ranking for this comparison quote prices that no longer exist, including a $9 Higgsfield plan, 270 credits listed under HeyGen (that is Higgsfield Starter), and plan names neither vendor sells today.
Higgsfield vs HeyGen pricing at a glance
| Plan | Monthly | Billed yearly, per month | Credits a month | Unused credits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Higgsfield Starter | $19 | $19 | 270 | Expire each cycle |
| HeyGen Creator | $29 | $24 | 600 | Roll over one cycle |
| HeyGen Pro | $49 | $41 | 1,000 | Roll over one cycle |
| Higgsfield Plus | $59 | $47 | 1,200 | Expire each cycle |
| Higgsfield Ultra | $129 | $99 | 3,000 | Expire each cycle |
| HeyGen Business | $149 plus $20 a seat | $119 | 1,500, shared | Roll over one cycle |
| Higgsfield Teams | From $65 a seat | Discounted | From 1,000 a seat, pooled | Expire each cycle |
HeyGen's Pro plan also scales in steps ($74, $99, $149 and up) with more credits at each step. Higgsfield Ultra comes in 6,000 and 9,000 credit sizes. Both vendors have a free tier, and neither free tier is usable for a paid ad. Higgsfield's free plan carries no commercial rights, and HeyGen's free plan watermarks output and caps videos at one minute.
The credit column is not comparable across vendors. A HeyGen credit and a Higgsfield credit buy very different amounts of video, so the only fair comparison is what a finished length of video costs. For the deeper plan-by-plan breakdowns, see our pages on HeyGen pricing and Higgsfield pricing.
What a 30 second UGC ad costs on HeyGen and on Higgsfield
HeyGen bills avatar video per minute of output. Avatar IV costs 16 credits a minute with a photo look and 31 with a video look, and the newer Avatar V costs 48 credits a minute. Higgsfield bills per clip, by model: about 14 credits per 5 seconds of Higgsfield Speak 2.0 at 720p, 12 per 5 seconds of Wan 2.5 Speak at 720p, and 12 per 2 seconds of Infinite Talk.
| Setup | Credits for 30 seconds | Cost at monthly price | Cost billed yearly |
|---|---|---|---|
| HeyGen Creator, Avatar IV photo look | 8 | $0.39 | $0.32 |
| HeyGen Creator, Avatar IV video look | 15.5 | $0.75 | $0.62 |
| HeyGen Creator, Avatar V | 24 | $1.16 | $0.96 |
| Higgsfield Starter, Wan 2.5 Speak 720p | 72 | $5.07 | $5.07 |
| Higgsfield Plus, Higgsfield Speak 2.0 | 84 | $4.13 | $3.29 |
| Higgsfield Plus, Infinite Talk | 180 | $8.85 | $7.05 |
The arithmetic is simple. HeyGen Creator is $29 for 600 credits, which is $0.048 a credit. Higgsfield Plus is $59 for 1,200 credits, which is $0.049 a credit, so per credit the two are almost identical. The gap comes entirely from how many credits each one burns per second of talking video. These figures assume a single clean take. Real ad work usually takes two or three takes per shot, so multiply by your own retake rate before you budget.
How many ads a month each plan really makes
A monthly budget question is more useful than a per-ad one, because both vendors sell fixed monthly allowances.
- Ten Avatar V ads on HeyGen Creator use 240 of 600 credits. The plan covers it at $29 a month, which works out to $2.90 an ad if you count the whole subscription.
- Ten Speak 2.0 ads on Higgsfield Plus use 840 of 1,200 credits. The plan covers it at $59 a month, or $5.90 an ad, falling to $4.70 billed yearly.
- Ten Infinite Talk ads on Higgsfield need 1,800 credits, more than Plus includes, which pushes you to Ultra at $129, or $12.90 an ad.
- Higgsfield Starter fits about three 30 second Wan Speak ads a month before the 270 credits run out.
Is HeyGen cheaper than Higgsfield?
Yes, for talking-presenter UGC ads HeyGen is cheaper. At entry level, HeyGen Creator at $29 makes a 30 second Avatar V ad for about $1.16 in credits, while the cheapest Higgsfield plan that includes its UGC builder, Plus at $59, spends about $4.13 on the same length. Higgsfield only gets competitive when you need its cinematic models rather than a talking presenter.
Can you make UGC ads on Higgsfield Starter?
Not with the UGC builder. On Higgsfield's own feature table, the UGC builder, Higgsfield Speak, Kling Speak and lipsync, Infinite Talk and start-and-end frame control all begin on Plus. Starter's only talking option is Wan 2.5 Speak. So the real entry price for UGC ad work on Higgsfield is $59 a month, or $47 billed yearly, not the $19 most comparison pages lead with.
Do HeyGen and Higgsfield credits roll over?
HeyGen credits roll over and Higgsfield credits do not. On a HeyGen monthly plan unused credits carry into one more cycle, and on a yearly plan they last until renewal, though cancelling forfeits them. Higgsfield credits expire at the end of every cycle, including on annual plans, which refresh every 30 days. For a brand that shoots in bursts around launches, that difference is worth real money.
The Higgsfield "videos" count that misleads buyers
Higgsfield's rate card shows how many videos each plan makes per model, and the numbers look large. Plus shows 1,028 videos of Higgsfield Speak 2.0. That figure matches a full year of credits, not a month. Plus gives 1,200 credits a month, and 1,200 times 12 divided by 14 credits a clip is 1,028. Every one of those clips is about 5 seconds long. Read the count as monthly and you overstate your output twelve times, and read a clip as a finished ad and you overstate it again.
What changed on HeyGen recently
HeyGen's Video Agent, the feature that writes and assembles a video from a prompt, now costs 80 credits a minute in standard mode and 240 in Seedance mode, double the 40 and 120 still quoted on some comparison pages. If you plan to let the agent build ads rather than scripting an avatar yourself, a 30 second Video Agent ad costs 40 credits on Creator, about $1.93, not the $0.97 older articles suggest. HeyGen's API is billed separately from the subscription, on prepaid credits that last 12 months, with Avatar IV photo video at $2.31 a minute.
Which should an ecommerce brand pick?
Pick HeyGen if the ad is a person talking to camera about your product. It is the cheaper of the two for that job, its credits survive a slow month, and the $29 Creator plan covers a realistic testing cadence for a small brand. Our page on HeyGen for UGC ads covers what it does well and where its avatars read as avatars in a feed.
Pick Higgsfield if the ad leans on product footage rather than a presenter: Kling, Seedance and Veo clips with a printed credit rate for each, inside one account. Budget for Plus at minimum, and spend the credits every month because they will not wait for you. If you are already on Higgsfield and finding the per-clip assembly slow, our comparison of Higgsfield alternatives prices seven other tools per finished ad.
Agencies running both subscriptions for different clients should also watch the overlap, because two credit plans that each expire or roll on their own schedule are easy to overpay for. A tool that can keep an eye on overlapping SaaS subscriptions pays for itself quickly once the client roster grows.
Where UGCGen fits, honestly
Per second of video, UGCGen costs more than either tool. Starter is $49 a month, or $24 billed yearly, for 19 seconds of talking AI-creator video, which is one short ad. Plus is $149, or $74 yearly, for 50 seconds of Google Veo video across up to 26 ad generations. What you pay for is the finished ad rather than raw clips: UGCGen reads your product URL, writes the script, gives you five hook variations, renders a lip-synced creator with captions, and exports every aspect ratio without a watermark. If you would rather buy that than stitch HeyGen or Higgsfield clips into an ad yourself, compare the plans on our pricing page or paste a product URL and watch the first ad build. Every first purchase has a 14 day money-back guarantee.
Frequently asked questions
Is Higgsfield better than HeyGen?
Higgsfield is better for cinematic product footage and HeyGen is better for talking-presenter ads. Higgsfield bundles Kling, Seedance and Veo with a published credit rate for each model, which suits b-roll and product shots. HeyGen's avatars are cheaper per second of speech and its credits roll over, which suits a brand testing spokesperson-style UGC hooks.
How much does Higgsfield cost per month?
Higgsfield costs $19 a month for Starter, $59 for Plus ($47 billed yearly), and $129 for Ultra ($99 billed yearly), with Teams from $65 a seat. For UGC ads the realistic entry is Plus, because the UGC builder, lipsync and Higgsfield Speak are not available on Starter. Credits expire at the end of each cycle.
How much does HeyGen cost per month?
HeyGen costs $29 a month for Creator ($24 billed yearly) with 600 credits, $49 for Pro ($41 yearly) with 1,000 credits, and $149 plus $20 a seat for Business. A minute of Avatar IV photo-look video costs 16 credits, so Creator covers roughly 37 minutes of that avatar a month. The API is billed separately.
Which is cheaper for 10 UGC ads a month, HeyGen or Higgsfield?
HeyGen is cheaper. Ten 30 second Avatar V ads use 240 credits, well inside the $29 Creator plan. The same ten ads with Higgsfield Speak 2.0 use 840 credits, which needs the $59 Plus plan, and ten Infinite Talk ads need 1,800 credits, which pushes you to Ultra at $129 a month.
