D-ID Pricing 2026 and D-ID Plans With the Real Cost Per Minute

D-ID sells monthly minutes of talking avatar video from $5.90, with up to 45 percent off on annual billing. Every plan card hides two more tiers behind a credit switch, and the watermark only comes off on the $196 plan. Below is the full price list on both toggles. The short answer

D-ID pricing is $5.90 to $9.40 a month for Lite, $29 to $118 for Pro and $196 to $343 for Advanced on monthly billing, depending on whether you pick 10 to 175 minutes of video. Annual billing takes 20 percent off Lite and 45 percent off Pro and Advanced, so Pro starts at $16 a month. Lite is personal use only, Pro is commercial but stamps an AI watermark, and only Advanced lets you swap it for your own logo. A commercial minute costs about $1.96 monthly or $1.08 annually on every Pro and Advanced tier. Payments are nonrefundable. If what you need is a finished UGC ad with hooks, UGCGen makes one from a product URL, and our AI UGC pricing guide lines up every tool per ad.

Where these numbers come from

We opened d-id.com/pricing/studio in a browser on 1 October 2026, switched between Monthly and Annual and clicked all three credit options on every plan card, nine tiers in total. Terms come from D-ID's pricing FAQ and its Studio End User License Agreement. Nothing here is copied from a review site.

D-ID plans

The pricing page opens on Annual. Each paid card has a small switch with three credit amounts, and one credit is 15 seconds of video. Most reviews quote only the first switch position, so the bigger Pro and Advanced tiers rarely appear anywhere. Here are all nine.

Trial

$0

14 days, 3 minutes

Full-screen watermark, standard voices, one personal avatar, personal-use license. Good for judging the lip sync, not for an ad.

Lite

$4.70 to $7.50 a month annually

10, 13 or 16 minutes a month. D-ID watermark and a personal-use license, so it cannot legally run as a paid ad.

Pro, the first commercial plan

$16 to $64.70 a month annually

15, 25 or 60 minutes. Commercial license, premium voices, one voice clone, three personal avatars. Videos still carry an AI watermark.

Advanced

$196 to $343

$108 to $189 a month annually

100, 150 or 175 minutes. Custom logo in place of the watermark, three voice clones, five personal avatars, manual content moderation.

D-ID labels the switch in credits; 4 credits make one minute. The annual discount is 20 percent on Lite and 45 percent on Pro and Advanced, which is where the "save up to 45%" banner comes from. Every paid card also promises unlimited videos in your first month, subject to D-ID's fair-use policy.

The watermark ladder

Which D-ID plan removes the watermark

For an ad buyer this is the line that decides the real price. A paid Meta or TikTok placement with an AI stamp in the corner looks like a demo, and D-ID only lets you replace that stamp with your own logo, or leave the frame clean, from Advanced up.

D-ID explains the stamp in its own FAQ: as a company that lets people create AI content, it wants the synthetic nature of the video to be visible. That is a fair position, and it also means the cheapest D-ID setup that produces a clean, commercially licensed ad is Advanced at $108 a month on an annual contract, which is $1,293 paid upfront and nonrefundable.

D-ID cost per minute

What one D-ID minute and one 30 second ad cost

Divide each tier's price by its minutes and a pattern appears that no plan card states: on Pro and Advanced the price of a minute barely moves. Buying 175 minutes instead of 15 does not get you a cheaper minute. It only gets you more of them, plus the watermark switch.

Price per minute, monthly billing

Bar length is the price of one minute of video.

Lite, all three tiers$0.59
Pro 15 minutes$1.93
Pro 25 minutes$1.96
Pro 60 minutes$1.97
Advanced 100 minutes$1.96
Advanced 175 minutes$1.96

Lite looks a third of the price, but it is the personal-use plan, so it does not belong in an ad budget. On annual billing every commercial tier drops to about $1.08 a minute, again flat from Pro 15 to Advanced 175.

Ad length Billed as Pro or Advanced, monthly Annual
15 seconds15sabout $0.49about $0.27
20 seconds30sabout $0.98about $0.54
30 seconds30sabout $0.98about $0.54
31 seconds45sabout $1.47about $0.81
60 seconds60sabout $1.96about $1.08

Per render, not per finished ad. Every take you reject spends minutes too, and the avatar clip still needs product shots, captions and a hook before it is an ad.

The fine print

Refund, rollover and license terms that change what D-ID costs

These come from D-ID's own pricing FAQ and its Studio End User License Agreement. They matter more than the sticker price when you are about to pay for a year.

Creator filming a vertical product video at home for a brand ad

No refunds

The license agreement calls subscription payments irrevocable and nonrefundable, except as it explicitly provides. Cancelling keeps the plan active to the end of the paid period, then the account drops to free.

Automatic renewal

The subscription fee renews automatically for successive billing periods. Switching from annual to monthly takes effect only when the current annual cycle ends.

Minutes expire monthly

Minutes do not accumulate. They renew each month and unused minutes become void, on annual plans too. Size the tier to the month you actually produce in.

Lite is non-commercial

The agreement says Lite subscribers may use the software and animations for non-commercial use only, and trial users likewise. An ad, a product page video or a client deliverable needs Pro or higher.

API shares the same minutes

Studio minutes used through the API come out of the same balance as the web app. D-ID also sells separate API plans; on annual billing they start at $14.40 a month (Build, personal license) and $35 a month (Launch, commercial).

Price list can change

The agreement ties your plan to D-ID's price list, which it says may be amended from time to time. Screenshot the tier you buy, and recheck before an annual renewal.

D-ID vs UGCGen

Is D-ID worth it for video ads

D-ID is very good at one thing: making a photo or a recorded presenter talk, fast, with an API and embeddable agents around it. On raw minutes it is cheaper than we are, and we will not pretend otherwise. The question for a brand is what you get at the end of the render.

Pick D-ID when

You need many minutes of a presenter talking, a branded avatar agent on your site, or an API you can build on, and an AI stamp is acceptable or you can justify Advanced. Comparing avatar tools? Our HeyGen pricing breakdown shows the other big option, and our D-ID vs HeyGen pricing comparison works out a 30 second ad on both.

Pick UGCGen when

You want the finished ad rather than the avatar clip, you test several hooks per product each month, and you want two weeks to decide. Other options sit on our best AI UGC ad generator shortlist, and the UGC video generator page shows how an ad is built.

Questions buyers actually ask

D-ID pricing questions

How much does D-ID cost per month?

On monthly billing D-ID costs $5.90 to $9.40 for Lite, $29 to $118 for Pro and $196 to $343 for Advanced, depending on the minutes you pick. Annual billing is 20 percent cheaper on Lite and 45 percent cheaper on Pro and Advanced, so Pro starts at $16 a month. Enterprise is custom.

Is D-ID free?

Only as a 14 day trial with 3 minutes of video, a full-screen watermark and a personal-use license. D-ID's license agreement limits trial users to non-commercial use, so nothing from the trial can run as an ad. Commercial use starts on Pro at $29 a month.

Can I use D-ID videos commercially?

Yes, from Pro up. Trial and Lite carry a personal-use license, and the Studio license agreement says Lite subscribers may use the output for non-commercial purposes only. Pro, Advanced and Enterprise include a commercial use license for marketing and client work.

Does D-ID Pro have a watermark?

Yes, an AI watermark. Lite shows a D-ID watermark and the trial a full-screen one. Advanced is the first plan that lets you replace the stamp with your own logo or leave it blank, at $196 a month or $108 a month billed annually.

How does D-ID count minutes?

Each video is deducted from your monthly minutes, rounded up to the next 15 seconds, so a 20 second ad uses 30 seconds. One credit on the pricing card is 15 seconds. Unused minutes expire at the end of the month, and API renders draw from the same balance.

Can I get a refund from D-ID?

Generally no. The Studio license agreement says payments are irrevocable and nonrefundable except where it explicitly provides otherwise, and the plan renews automatically. If you cancel, you keep access until the paid period ends. Test on monthly before committing to a year.

Is D-ID cheaper than HeyGen?

At entry level, yes: D-ID Pro is $29 monthly or $16 annually against $29 or $24 for HeyGen Creator. But D-ID Pro still stamps an AI watermark and clean output starts at $196 a month, while HeyGen removes the watermark from Creator up.

What is the best D-ID alternative for UGC ads?

For finished UGC-style ads, UGCGen is built for that one job. Paste a product URL, pick an AI creator and get a captioned 9:16 ad with five hook variations and no watermark on paid plans. Starter is $49 a month or $24 yearly for about 20 short ads.

Get a finished UGC ad, not just a talking head

Paste your product URL, pick a creator and watch the ad render with captions and five hooks. Starter covers about 20 short ads a month for $49, or $24 on a yearly plan, with no watermark and a 14 day money-back guarantee on the first purchase.
