Akool Pricing 2026 and Akool Plans With the Real Cost of an Ad

Akool sells credits per seat, from $12 a month on Starter to $249 on Business, with 30 percent off yearly. The catch for advertisers sits in the plan table and the terms: three of the four paid plans carry a personal license. Here is the full price list on both toggles. The short answer

Akool pricing is $12 a seat a month for Starter, $30 for Pro, $59 for Pro Max and $249 for Business on monthly billing. Yearly billing cuts Pro, Pro Max and Business by 30 percent, to $21, $41.30 and $174.30, while Starter stays at $12. Every paid plan removes the watermark, but Akool's table gives Starter, Pro and Pro Max a personal license, so the first plan licensed for business is Business. Its terms separately bar the stock avatars from paid social ads without written consent. A credit costs between 2.9 and 6 cents. If what you need is a finished UGC ad you can boost, UGCGen makes one from a product URL with full commercial rights, and our AI UGC pricing guide lines up every tool per ad.

Where these numbers come from

We opened akool.com/pricing in a browser on 5 October 2026 and read every card on the Yearly and the Monthly toggle, plus the full comparison table, the workspace seat rules, the API rate card at akool.com/api-pricing and Akool's Terms of Service (last updated August 1, 2025). Nothing here is copied from a review site, several of which still quote last year's plan list.

The pricing page opens on Yearly and shows the monthly price struck through beside it. Each paid card from Pro up also has a credit selector with larger allowances. The prices below are for the base credit amount on each card, which is the figure Akool advertises.

The yearly discount is exactly 30 percent on Pro, Pro Max and Business, which is where the "30% OFF" badge comes from. Starter has no yearly discount. Akool's own card math converts credits for you: 200 credits buy about 20 Kling 3.0 videos or 100 Nano Banana Pro images, so a Kling 3.0 clip is 10 credits.

The license ladder

Which Akool plan allows commercial use

Most Akool pricing reviews stop at the watermark row, and on that row every paid plan looks the same. One row lower in Akool's comparison table is the line that decides an ad budget: the license. Starter, Pro and Pro Max all say personal.

The stock avatar clause

Akool's Terms of Service define Akool Avatars as the ready-made avatars already in the library, which are modeled on real actors. You agree not to use them, without Akool's explicit written consent, in output for promoted, boosted or paid advertising on any social media platform, or for TV broadcasting. That is the exact use a UGC ad is bought for, and the clause does not change with the plan you pay for.

What that leaves an advertiser

Two clean routes. Build a custom avatar from footage of a person who has signed off on ad use, which the terms treat differently from stock avatars, on a plan with a business license. Or ask Akool for written consent before you boost a stock-avatar video. The same terms let Akool fine an account it finds using the service for unauthorized commercial use, so guessing is the expensive option.

Akool cost per ad

What one Akool clip and one 30 second avatar ad cost

Akool does not price videos, it prices credits, and the price of a credit falls only about 16 percent from Pro to Business on monthly billing. Yearly billing moves it far more than the plan does.

Price per credit by plan

Bar length is the price of one credit on monthly billing; the yearly figure is on the right.

Starter$0.060, no yearly discount
Pro$0.050, $0.035 yearly
Pro Max$0.049, $0.034 yearly
Business$0.042, $0.029 yearly

30 second talking avatar, 4K30about $1.47about $1.26about $0.87

Talking avatar rates come from Akool's API rate card (5 credits per 10 seconds at 1080p, 10 in 4K), which lists Pro Max and Business. The Kling figure comes from the plan cards. These are per render, not per finished ad: rejected takes spend credits too, and a seat-based price multiplies with the team.

Per clip, Akool is cheap, and we will not pretend otherwise. The real floor for a brand is the license, not the credit: if the ad will be boosted, the smallest Akool setup that is licensed for business is one Business seat at $249 a month, or $2,091.60 paid upfront for a year. On that plan 6,000 credits cover roughly 400 thirty second 1080p avatar renders a month, which is far more than most brands test.

The fine print

Seat charges, refunds and renewal terms that change what Akool costs

These come from Akool's workspace rules on the pricing page and its Terms of Service. They matter more than the sticker price when a team is about to pay for a year.

Three marketers reviewing a vertical product ad on a phone while planning a video budget

Every editor is a full seat

Each admin or editor you invite is charged the same rate the workspace owner pays. A three person team on Pro Max monthly is $177 a month; on Business it is $747. The rule names admins and editors, not viewers, who can only watch and download.

Refunds come back as credits

Fee disputes go to Akool within 30 days. Any refund it agrees to is issued as account credits, and the terms say that in no event are there cash refunds. Disputes older than 90 days get nothing.

Cancel by email, a day early

Plans renew automatically at the then-current price. To stop a renewal the terms ask you to email Akool at least 24 hours before it renews. The same 24 hour rule applies to ending a free trial before it converts.

Overdraft credits bill themselves

With Dynamic Billing you can run past your allowance. Akool then charges the card on file without further notice once the overdraft limit is reached, at its current credit price, and those charges are final and non-refundable.

Fines and discretionary charges

Akool reserves the right to fine an account for violations including unauthorized commercial use, and to add cost recovery charges for things like excessive load, with notice "where practicable".

API sits on Pro Max and up

The API is not on Starter or Pro. It spends the same credits as the web app, with up to 3 concurrent calls on Pro Max, 5 on Business and 10 on Enterprise.

Akool vs UGCGen

Is Akool worth it for video ads

Akool is a broad toolbox: face swap, live avatars, video translation, dozens of third-party video and image models and an API, at a low price per credit. If you need that range, it is good value. The question for a brand buying ads is what you are allowed to do with the render.

Pick Akool when

You need the wide toolbox, mostly organic or internal content, and you either work with a custom avatar of a person who signed off or you can justify a Business seat. Comparing avatar subscriptions? Pick UGCGen when

You want the finished ad rather than a clip, you plan to boost it, and you want commercial rights and a refund window without reading a license table. Starter is $49 a month for one short ad plus 2 extra hook angles, Plus is $149 for 26 ads. Questions buyers actually ask

Akool pricing questions

How much does Akool cost per month?

On monthly billing Akool costs $12 a seat for Starter, $30 for Pro, $59 for Pro Max and $249 for Business. Yearly billing takes 30 percent off the top three, to $21, $41.30 and $174.30 a seat a month. Starter is $12 either way, and Enterprise is quoted by sales.

Is Akool free?

There is a free plan, but avatar video tops out at 720p with a full-screen watermark, 5 GB of storage and slow processing, and Akool's table lists no license for it. It is a lip sync test. Watermark-free output starts on Starter at $12 a seat a month.

Can I use Akool for commercial use?

Akool's pricing table gives Starter, Pro and Pro Max a personal license and Business a business license, so Business is the first plan licensed for commercial work, at $249 a seat or $174.30 a month yearly. The terms also let Akool fine accounts for unauthorized commercial use.

Can I use Akool avatars in paid ads?

Not the stock ones without permission. The Terms of Service bar using Akool Avatars, the ready-made library avatars, in promoted, boosted or paid social ads or TV without Akool's explicit written consent. Custom avatars built from your own footage fall outside that clause.

Does Akool charge per seat?

Yes. Every paid plan is priced per seat, and each admin or editor you invite is charged the owner's rate. Three editors on Pro Max monthly cost $177 a month, on Business $747. The rule names admins and editors, not viewers.

Can I get a refund from Akool?

Not in cash. Disputes must reach Akool within 30 days, refunds are issued as account credits, and the terms rule out cash refunds. Overdraft credits and trial fees are final, and plans renew automatically unless you email to cancel at least 24 hours ahead.

How much does the Akool API cost?

API access starts on Pro Max at $59 a seat a month and spends the same credits. The rate card charges 5 credits per 10 seconds of 1080p talking avatar and 10 in 4K, so a 30 second 1080p clip is 15 credits, about $0.74 on Pro Max monthly or $0.44 on Business yearly.

What is the best Akool alternative for UGC ads?

For finished UGC-style ads you can boost, UGCGen is built for that single job. Paste a product URL, pick an AI creator and get a captioned 9:16 ad with five hooks and full commercial rights on every paid plan. Starter is $49 a month or $24 yearly for one short ad plus 2 extra hook angles, Plus is $149 for 26 ads, with a 14 day money-back guarantee on the first purchase. We compare HeyGen, Creatify, JoggAI and D-ID in our Akool alternative for UGC ads guide.
