Hedra Pricing 2026: Hedra AI Pricing, Review, Cost Per Ad
Hedra pricing read from its own page in September 2026: $15, $30 and $75 plans, credit rules, the separate API wallet, and the real cost per 30 second UGC clip.

Short answer: Hedra pricing starts at $15 a month for Basic with 1,500 credits, then $30 a month for Creator with 5,400 credits and $75 a month for Professional with 14,400 credits, all billed monthly, with a custom Enterprise tier above that. Hedra spends credits per second of generated video, and its own documentation deliberately does not list a credit price per model. Using the widely reported rate of 6 credits per second for Character-3 at 720P, a 30 second talking avatar clip costs roughly $1.80 on Basic, $1.00 on Creator and $0.94 on Professional. Plan figures below were read from hedra.com/pricing on September 15, 2026.
Hedra is a strong tool for one specific job: making a face talk. You give it an image and an audio track, and Character-3 animates the lips, head and expression. That is a real ingredient of a UGC-style ad, and it is also only one ingredient. Keep that in mind when you read the price, because the rest of the ad still has to come from somewhere.
What Hedra costs in 2026
| Plan | Price | Credits | Speed | Commercial use | Price per credit (ours) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $15 a month | 1,500 a month | Slower generations | Yes | $0.0100 |
| Creator (marked Popular) | $30 a month | 5,400 a month | Faster generation | Yes | $0.0056 |
| Professional | $75 a month | 14,400 a month | Fastest generation, Teams plan access | Yes | $0.0052 |
| Business Teams | $75 a month | 14,400 a month | Fastest generation, Teams plan access | Yes | $0.0052 |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Fastest inference, private deployments, SSO | Yes | Quoted |
Two things stand out. First, the credit price falls by almost half between Basic and Creator, and then barely moves from Creator to Professional. Creator is where Hedra's pricing is most efficient; Professional buys you more volume and speed, not a better rate. Second, the pricing page is titled "Free Plan, No Credit Card", so there is a way to start without paying. Hedra's own FAQ describes the unpaid state as "limited watermarked generations", which is fine for judging lip sync and not usable in a paid ad.
Hedra AI pricing: why the cost per video is an estimate
This is the part most Hedra reviews skip. Hedra's help center says credits are "deducted based on the generated video length", with the example that a 10 second Character-3 video is charged for 10 seconds, not a full minute. So far so clear. But its video models guide then says, in a note, that "exact model names, credit prices, duration limits, and resolutions are intentionally not duplicated here. Check the live selector before generating."
In other words, the per-second price lives inside the app and can change without a documentation update. The rate that circulates on review sites is 6 credits per second for Character-3 at 720P and 3 credits per second at 540P, with premium third-party models such as Veo costing several times more. Treat those as reported figures, check the selector when you sign in, and redo the arithmetic below if the number has moved.
Estimated cost per 30 second talking avatar clip
| Plan | Credits per 30s at 720P | Cost per clip | 30s clips a month | Cost per clip at 540P |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic, $15 | 180 | $1.80 | 8 | $0.90 |
| Creator, $30 | 180 | $1.00 | 30 | $0.50 |
| Professional, $75 | 180 | $0.94 | 80 | $0.47 |
On raw generation cost, that is cheap. A 30 second clip for about a dollar undercuts most dedicated AI UGC tools, and it is a fraction of the $100 to $400 a US micro-creator typically charges for one video. If all you need is the moving face, Hedra's pricing is hard to argue with.
What that dollar does not buy
A talking head is not an ad. To get from a Hedra clip to something you can run on Meta or TikTok, you still need:
- A script and a hook. Hedra animates audio you supply or generate. Writing the first three seconds that stop a scroll is still your job.
- A voice. Hedra offers audio models, but many teams pay separately for a voice tool they already trust.
- The product. A UGC ad works because a person is holding, using or reacting to the item. An animated portrait on its own does not show your product.
- Captions, cuts and formats. Burned-in captions, B-roll, and 9:16, 1:1 and 4:5 exports are editing work after generation.
- Variants. Creative testing means ten hooks on one script, not one clip. Each variant is another generation plus another edit.
Put a realistic editing hour against each finished ad and the dollar clip stops being the number that matters. That is the honest way to compare Hedra with a tool built around the ad itself, such as a talking avatar video ad generator that writes the script, adds captions and exports every aspect ratio in one pass.
Credits, rollover and cancellation
Hedra's billing rules are short and worth knowing before you pick a tier:
- Monthly credits reset. "Credits from your monthly subscription do not carry over between billing cycles." Unused plan credits are gone at renewal.
- Credit packs do not expire. Packs bought on top of a plan roll over indefinitely and are only spent after your monthly allowance runs out.
- Annual plans pay out upfront. Hedra's annual subscription doc says the full year of credits lands at purchase. Its worked example uses 4,000 credits a month, or 48,000 a year, which matches the Creator allowance Hedra announced in 2025 rather than the 5,400 on today's pricing page. The public pricing page itself only shows monthly billing, so confirm the annual numbers at checkout.
- You need an active plan to spend credits. Leftover pack credits survive a cancellation, but you must resubscribe to use them.
- Subscriptions auto-renew. Hedra's terms say a subscription renews "at Hedra's then-current price" until you cancel, so a price change applies at your next renewal.
The API is a separate wallet
If you plan to automate ad production, this detail changes the budget. Hedra's API reference states that API usage is prepaid, "held in US dollars, it is separate from your Hedra Studio balance, and a workspace starts with $0.00 in it; nothing you buy or hold in Studio moves money into it." Until you fund it, every generation returns an insufficient balance error.
So a Professional subscription does not cover programmatic generation. You pay for the Studio plan and fund the API balance on top, optionally with auto top-up, where the trigger threshold must be at least $10 and the recharge target at least $35. Hedra also exposes an estimate endpoint that returns the cost before you run a job, which is the reliable way to price a pipeline.
Is Hedra worth it for UGC ads?
Worth it when you already have scripts and an editor, you want a lifelike talking face for a few hero ads, or you need avatar clips across many languages at a low unit cost. Creator at $30 is the sweet spot for that workflow.
Look elsewhere when the bottleneck is producing ads, not faces. If your plan calls for dozens of hook variants a month for a store, the generation is the cheap part and the assembly is the expensive part. Some teams also buy Hedra for sales outreach rather than advertising, dropping a short talking head clip into their personalized cold email sequences. That is a different job with different economics, and it is a good fit for Basic.
For the full category view, including tools that count in finished ads instead of seconds, the AI UGC pricing comparison lines them up on one page, and the TopView AI pricing breakdown shows how a multi-model credit plan works out per 30 second clip.
Hedra pricing questions
How much does Hedra cost?
Hedra costs $15 a month for Basic with 1,500 credits, $30 a month for Creator with 5,400 credits and $75 a month for Professional with 14,400 credits, billed monthly, as listed on hedra.com/pricing on September 15, 2026. Enterprise pricing is custom and adds private deployments, SSO and dedicated support. All three self-serve plans include commercial use.
Is Hedra free?
Hedra lets you start without a credit card, and its FAQ describes unpaid use as limited watermarked generations. That is enough to test lip sync quality on your own image. For output you can publish in paid ads, you need a paid plan, since commercial use and watermark-free generation are listed on the paid tiers.
How many credits does Hedra Character-3 use?
Hedra charges by generated seconds and shows the exact rate only in the in-app model selector. The commonly reported figure is 6 credits per second at 720P and 3 credits per second at 540P, so a 30 second 720P clip uses about 180 credits. Premium models such as Veo cost considerably more per second.
Do Hedra credits roll over?
Monthly plan credits do not roll over; they reset to your plan amount at each billing cycle. Credits from separately purchased credit packs never expire and carry over indefinitely, and they are used only after your monthly credits run out. You need an active subscription to spend any remaining credits.
Can I use Hedra videos commercially?
Yes, on paid plans. Basic, Creator and Professional each list commercial use on Hedra's pricing page. Commercial rights to the output are separate from rights in what you upload, so the face, voice and product imagery you feed in still need to be yours or properly licensed, and paid endorsements still need the usual advertising disclosures.
Does Hedra have an API?
Yes. Hedra's v3 API runs its own models plus third-party image, video and audio models, and it bills from a prepaid US dollar balance that is separate from your Studio subscription. The balance starts at zero and Studio credits cannot be moved into it, so budget for the API on top of any plan.
What is the best Hedra alternative for UGC ads?
It depends on which part of the ad you are short of. For another talking face at scale, HeyGen and Synthesia are the usual comparisons. For finished UGC-style ads with script, captions and formats handled, a product-URL generator such as UGCGen, Creatify or Arcads replaces the editing work that Hedra leaves to you.
If you want to see the difference rather than read about it, render a UGC-style ad from your product URL and compare it with a Hedra clip of the same script. The comparison takes ten minutes and tells you more than any pricing table.
