The short answer

Hailuo AI costs $10.50 a month for Standard, $38 for Pro, $89 for Master and $216 for Max, or $8.40, $30.40, $71.20 and $184 a month when billed yearly. On Hailuo 2.3 that works out to roughly $0.17 to $0.26 for a 6 second 768p clip and $0.54 to $0.84 at 1080p. The MiniMax API skips the subscription and charges $0.19 to $0.56 per clip. Two limits matter more than the price: 1080p stops at 6 seconds, and no payment is refunded.

We read these figures at the vendor on October 14, 2026, on hailuoai.video/subscribe, the Hailuo payment policy and terms of service, and the MiniMax developer pricing pages. For the wider picture of what AI video ads cost across tools that bill per ad instead of per clip, see our AI UGC pricing guide.

Hailuo AI plans

Every Hailuo AI plan in monthly and annual billing

The plan page shows a crossed-out list price above each card and a lower price underneath. The lower one is what your card gets charged. This table uses the charged price only, next to what the plan actually unlocks: monthly credits, how many jobs you can queue and run at once, and which clips you are allowed to make.

Plan Monthly billing Annual, per month Annual, billed yearly Credits a month Queued / running jobs Clips on Hailuo 2.3
Free $0 n/a n/a One-time welcome credits, expire after 3 days 4 / 1 6s at 768p, watermark
Standard $10.50 $8.40 $100.80 1,000 8 / 1 6s at 768p or 1080p
Pro $38.00 $30.40 $364.80 4,500 8 / 2 Adds 10s at 768p
Master $89.00 $71.20 $854.40 10,500 12 / 2 6s up to 1080p, 10s at 768p
Max $216.00 $184.00 $2,208 27,000 plus unlimited Hailuo 2.0 and 2.3 in a slower queue 12 / 2 6s up to 1080p, 10s at 768p

Standard is a 768p and 1080p sampler

1,000 credits buys forty 6 second clips at 768p or twelve at 1080p. It runs one job at a time and cannot make 10 second clips. Good enough to learn the model, thin for a brand testing several ad concepts a week.

Pro is where the plan gets practical

At $38 a month you get 4.5 times the credits of Standard for about 3.6 times the price, two jobs running in parallel and 10 second clips at 768p. Per credit it is already as cheap as Master, so most small teams can stop here.

Max is about the unlimited queue

Max adds unlimited Hailuo 2.0 and 2.3 generations, but in a slower queue. If you iterate on many takes and can wait, that changes the math entirely. If you need speed, you are paying for 27,000 credits at roughly the same rate as Pro.

Reading the discount badge

The 47 percent badge and what annual billing really saves

The annual toggle shows a "-47%" badge. That figure is measured against crossed-out list prices of $14.99, $54.99 and $119.99, which are not prices anyone is charged on monthly billing either. Compare the annual price with the monthly price you would actually pay and the saving is 20 percent on Standard, Pro and Master, and 15 percent on Max.

Plan Crossed-out list price Monthly price charged Annual, per month Real annual saving
Standard $14.99 $10.50 $8.40 20%
Pro $54.99 $38.00 $30.40 20%
Master $119.99 $89.00 $71.20 20%
Max Not shown $216.00 $184.00 15%

Twenty percent is still a decent discount. The problem is the commitment that comes with it. Hailuo does not refund payments, so $100.80 for a year of Standard or $854.40 for a year of Master is gone the moment you pay, even if the model stops fitting your work in month two. Run one monthly cycle first, then switch to annual once you know you will use the credits every month.

Hailuo AI video pricing

Credits per clip and what one clip costs on each plan

Hailuo charges a flat number of credits per clip, set by model, length and resolution. Failed generations are not charged. The newest model, MiniMax H3, bills differently, at about 7 credits a second at 768p and 12 credits a second at 2K.

Model 6s at 768p 6s at 1080p 10s at 768p
Hailuo 2.3 and 2.0 25 credits 80 credits 50 credits
Hailuo 2.3-Fast 15 credits 50 credits 30 credits

Divide each plan price by its credits and multiply by the credits per clip, and you get what a Hailuo 2.3 clip really costs. The 1080p jump is the striking part: 80 credits against 25 makes a 1080p clip 3.2 times the price of the same 6 seconds at 768p.

How you pay 6s at 768p 6s at 1080p 10s at 768p
Standard, monthly $0.26 $0.84 Not on Standard
Standard, annual $0.21 $0.67 Not on Standard
Pro, monthly $0.21 $0.68 $0.42
Pro, annual $0.17 $0.54 $0.34
Master, monthly $0.21 $0.68 $0.42
Master, annual $0.17 $0.54 $0.34
Max, monthly $0.20 $0.64 $0.40
Max, annual $0.17 $0.54 $0.34
Top-up credits only $0.36 $1.14 $0.71
API, Hailuo-2.3 $0.28 $0.49 $0.56
API, Hailuo-2.3-Fast $0.19 $0.33 $0.32

Look at the 1080p column. The API sells a 6 second 1080p Hailuo-2.3 clip for $0.49, less than any plan charges for it, and 2.3-Fast does it for $0.33. If most of what you make is 1080p, the subscription is the expensive route. At 768p it flips, and an annual plan beats the API. Top-up credits are the worst deal on the page, so size the plan to your volume rather than topping up every month.

Resolution and length

The 1080p and 10 second limits on Hailuo 2.3

Plan pages sell credits. What you can do with those credits depends on rules that sit further down, and two of them shape any ad you plan to build.

1080p means 6 seconds

Standard and above can render 1080p, but only as a 6 second clip. A 10 second 1080p clip is not sold anywhere, on any plan or through the API. For a 1080p ad you stitch 6 second shots together, which suits fast-cut social ads and fights against slower talking shots.

10 seconds starts on Pro

Free and Standard users get 6 second clips only. Pro, Master and Max add 10 second clips, at 768p only. A 10 second 768p clip costs 50 credits, or 5 credits a second against about 4.2 for a 6 second clip, so longer takes cost a little more per second.

768p is the realistic default

At 25 credits against 80, most teams draft at 768p and only re-render the winning take at 1080p. Feed placements on Meta and TikTok compress video heavily anyway. Save the 1080p credits for the shot you are actually going to spend money behind.

Other models handle length and resolution differently. ByteDance's model is priced on our Seedance pricing page, and Google's per-second rates for longer native-audio clips are on Veo 3 pricing.

The fine print that costs money

Refunds, credit expiry, top-ups and commercial rights

These rules come from Hailuo's payment policy and terms of service. They decide how much of what you pay turns into usable video, and whether you can put it in a paid ad.

Founder checking a desk calendar and a payment card before a software trial renews
Rule What it means for you
Refunds None on payments made, monthly or annual
Cancelling Takes effect at the next billing cycle
Plan credits Valid for 1 month, no rollover
Top-up credits $1 per 70 credits, valid until December 31 of the second calendar year
Free welcome credits One-time grant, expires after 3 days
Watermark Removed on paid plans, kept on free
Ownership Paid users own the output and may use it commercially
Vendor licence Hailuo keeps a royalty-free licence to use outputs for its own promotion

Use it or lose it

Plan credits die after a month. A quiet month on Master throws away up to 10,500 credits, or $89 of value. Top-ups survive far longer but cost about 70 percent more per credit than Pro.

Your ad may show up in theirs

You own the clip, but Hailuo can use it to promote itself. If a launch is under embargo, or the product is a client's, factor that licence in before you upload anything sensitive.

For developers

Hailuo AI API pricing on the MiniMax platform

The API is sold by MiniMax, the company behind Hailuo, and billed separately from the app. Hailuo models are priced per clip, H3 models per second. These are the list prices from MiniMax's pricing overview, cross-checked against its pay-as-you-go page.

Model 6s at 768p 10s at 768p 6s at 1080p
Hailuo-2.3 and Hailuo-02 $0.28 $0.56 $0.49
Hailuo-2.3-Fast $0.19 $0.32 $0.33
Hailuo-02 at 512p $0.10 (6s) $0.15 (10s) n/a
Per-second model 480p per second 768p per second 2K per second 6s at 768p
MiniMax H3 n/a $0.08 $0.13 $0.48
MiniMax H3-Max $0.05 $0.08 n/a $0.48

Pay as you go has no door price

You can call the API without a package, so testing costs cents. Hailuo-2.3-Fast at $0.19 for a 6 second 768p clip is the cheapest current-generation option on the card, and its 1080p clip at $0.33 undercuts every subscription plan.

The $1,000 package expires in a month

The Standard video package costs $1,000 for 3,760 points, about $0.266 per 6 second 768p clip, and its points expire after one month. H3 is not covered by packages. Unless you render thousands of clips a month, pay as you go is the safer buy.

The number that decides your budget

What a 30 second Hailuo ad costs in clips

A 30 second spot is five 6 second shots. In real creative work each shot gets rendered about three times before one is usable, which is our working assumption rather than a Hailuo figure. That is 15 clips per finished ad.

Creator filming a handheld style product review ad with a phone on a tripod
How you pay 15 clips at 768p 15 clips at 1080p
Standard, monthly $3.94 Not possible, needs 1,200 credits
Standard, annual $3.15 Not possible, needs 1,200 credits
Pro, monthly $3.17 $10.13
Pro, annual $2.53 $8.11
Max, monthly $3.00 $9.60
Top-up credits only $5.36 $17.14
API, Hailuo-2.3 $4.20 $7.35
API, Hailuo-2.3-Fast $2.85 $4.95

Three to ten dollars of model time per ad is cheap. What the number leaves out is everything that turns silent clips into an ad: the hook, the script, a voice, a presenter whose face matches from shot to shot, lip sync, captions, the edit and the export in three aspect ratios. Standard also cannot fit even one 1080p ad into its 1,000 monthly credits. For per-clip pricing on Kling, see our Kling AI pricing breakdown, and for a reseller that bundles several models into one plan, Higgsfield pricing.

Honest comparison

Hailuo vs UGCGen for video ads

Per second of video, UGCGen is far more expensive than Hailuo, and we would rather say so than bury it. Starter is $49 a month for 19 seconds of talking AI creator video. Hailuo Standard gives you about four minutes of 768p clips for $10.50. The two products sell different things.

Pick Hailuo if you edit

You have an editor, a voiceover workflow and a clear shot list, and you want cheap b-roll, product motion shots or stylized scenes. Hailuo Pro on annual billing is one of the lowest per-clip prices around.

Pick UGCGen if you need the ad

You paste a product URL and get a script, an AI creator talking to camera with lip sync, captions, 5 hooks and every ratio. Our UGC video generator shows the workflow, and UGCGen pricing lists every plan.

Or use both

Plenty of teams render b-roll and product shots in a clip model and cut them under a talking-creator ad. If that is your plan, budget Hailuo for shots and a finished-ad tool for the presenter, rather than forcing one to do the other's job.

Questions buyers actually ask

Hailuo AI pricing questions, answered

How much does Hailuo AI cost?

Hailuo AI costs $10.50 a month for Standard, $38 for Pro, $89 for Master and $216 for Max on monthly billing. Annual billing brings that to $8.40, $30.40, $71.20 and $184 a month, charged once a year. There is also a free tier with one-time welcome credits that expire after three days.

Is Hailuo AI free?

Only for a quick test. The free tier gives one-time welcome credits that expire after three days, runs Hailuo models only, makes 6 second clips at 768p and adds a watermark. It does not refill each month like the paid plans, so anything you plan to publish as an ad needs Standard or higher.

How much does Hailuo AI cost per month?

On monthly billing Hailuo AI charges $10.50 for Standard with 1,000 credits, $38 for Pro with 4,500, $89 for Master with 10,500 and $216 for Max with 27,000. The crossed-out $14.99, $54.99 and $119.99 on the plan page are list prices that nobody actually pays.

What is the Hailuo AI pricing plan?

Hailuo sells four paid plans on top of a free tier. Standard starts at $8.40 a month billed yearly, Pro at $30.40, Master at $71.20 and Max at $184. Higher plans add credits, more parallel jobs and 10 second clips, and Max adds unlimited Hailuo 2.0 and 2.3 generations in a slower queue.

How many credits does Hailuo AI use per video?

On Hailuo 2.3 and 2.0, a 6 second 768p clip uses 25 credits, a 6 second 1080p clip uses 80 and a 10 second 768p clip uses 50. Hailuo 2.3-Fast costs 15, 50 and 30 credits for the same clips. Failed generations are not charged, according to the vendor.

Does Hailuo AI have an API?

Yes. MiniMax, the company behind Hailuo, sells API access on its developer platform with per-clip pricing and no subscription. You can pay as you go, or buy a prepaid video package such as the $1,000 Standard package, whose points expire after one month. The API also carries the newer MiniMax H3 model.

How much is the Hailuo AI API per video?

A 6 second 768p clip costs $0.28 on Hailuo-2.3 and $0.19 on Hailuo-2.3-Fast. A 6 second 1080p clip costs $0.49 or $0.33, and a 10 second 768p clip costs $0.56 or $0.32. Hailuo-02 at 512p starts at $0.10 per clip. MiniMax H3 is billed per second instead.

Can Hailuo AI make 1080p videos?

Yes, but only 6 second clips. Every paid plan from Standard up can render 6 seconds at 1080p, which costs 80 credits on Hailuo 2.3. Ten second clips start on Pro and only at 768p. A 10 second 1080p clip is not sold anywhere, in the app or through the API.

Do Hailuo AI credits roll over?

No. Plan credits are valid for one month and do not carry into the next billing cycle. Purchased top-up credits last much longer, until December 31 of the second calendar year after purchase. Top-ups cost $1 per 70 credits, which is noticeably more per credit than any plan allowance.

Does Hailuo AI offer refunds?

No. The payment policy says payments are not refunded. If you cancel, the cancellation takes effect at the next billing cycle, so you keep access and credits until then but get no money back. That makes the annual plan a full-year commitment, so test on one monthly cycle first.

Can I use Hailuo AI videos commercially?

Yes, on paid plans. The terms say paid users own their output and may use it commercially, and paid plans download without a watermark. Hailuo keeps a royalty-free licence to use your outputs for its own promotion. Free tier clips carry a watermark, which rules them out for most paid ads.

Is Hailuo AI cheaper than Kling?

It depends on clip length, resolution and billing cycle, so compare per clip rather than per plan. Hailuo comes to about $0.17 to $0.26 for a 6 second 768p clip on a plan. We price Kling plans, credits and its API on the same basis on our Kling AI pricing page.

Want to check the Kling side of the last question? The full plan and API breakdown is on our Kling AI pricing page.
