The short answer

Pika costs $10 a month for Starter with 900 creation credits, $35 for Creator with 3,150, and $95 to $880 for Fancy, with yearly billing reducing those monthly prices by 20 percent to $8, $28 and $76 to $704. Free includes no monthly credits, only purchased packs, while Enterprise has custom pricing. Using the figures read on pika.art/pricing on October 24, 2026, our arithmetic puts a 5 second Seedance 2.5 clip at $1.36 on monthly plan credits and a 30 second ad's footage at $8.13 before retakes. Plan credits do not roll over, payments are non-refundable, and the older Standard and Pro credit counts use a different unit.

The breakdown below separates published rates from our calculations. For the distinction between raw generation and finished creative, compare our AI UGC pricing guide.

Pika plans

Every Pika plan in monthly and yearly billing

Starter is the entry point for watermark-free commercial work. Creator is labeled Best Value and adds more parallel generations, but it does not improve the monthly price per credit. Fancy uses a spending slider, so its headline price is the bottom of a range. Yearly figures below are monthly equivalents under annual billing.

Choose capacity over labels

Moving from Starter to Creator buys a larger allowance and more concurrent work. It does not make a Seedance clip cheaper. Choose the smallest allowance that covers the models you actually use, then weigh whether faster parallel production matters to your schedule.

Fancy adds queue priority

Fancy includes unlimited parallel generations and a priority queue. Early access to new models begins only at $440 a month. Do not assume that the $95 entry level includes every benefit shown across the Fancy slider.

Teams pay by seat

Team starts with a minimum of 2 Fancy-level seats. Each seat costs $95 monthly or $76 with yearly billing and includes 8,550 credits. That is a seat commitment, so compare the people needing access as well as the total generation budget.

The change older guides miss

Pika renamed its plans and changed the credit unit

The embedded plan data explains why search results disagree with the current cards. Starter still uses the billing key standard_monthly, titled Standard, with credits of 700 beside creation_credits of 900. Creator retains unlimited_monthly, titled Pro, with 2,300 old credits beside 3,150 creation credits. The prices stayed, while the public names and counting unit changed.

Older name or allowance Old credits Current plan Current creation credits
Standard 700Starter900
Pro 2,300Creator3,150
Fancy at $95 6,000 in older guidesFancy at $958,550
Free monthly allowance Quoted in older guidesFree0, packs only

Fancy's internal rates show the same distinction, with 63 old credits versus 90 creation credits per dollar. Most older Pika pricing articles still quote Standard, Pro, Fancy's 6,000 credits and a free monthly allowance. Larger new counts do not prove greater value. The per-generation rates now use creation credits, so old and new balances cannot be compared one to one.

For a buying decision, start with today's model rate and divide your current allowance by that rate. An old screenshot of a balance is not enough to estimate current output. Keep the model, duration and resolution attached to any credit figure you save, otherwise the next plan comparison can look like a discount simply because the units changed.

Published credits, calculated dollars

Pika cost per video clip by model

Every monthly subscription buys 90 creation credits per dollar, from $10 to $880. That is about $0.0111 per credit. Yearly billing buys 112.5 per dollar, about $0.0089. The dollar costs below are our arithmetic from the published generation rates, rounded per clip. They describe consumed credit value rather than the minimum payment needed to start.

Video model and output Creation credits Monthly plan Yearly plan Standard top-up rate
Seedance 2.5, 720p, 5 seconds 122$1.36$1.08$2.03
Wan 3.0, 720p, 5 seconds 33$0.37$0.29$0.55

Spent entirely on Seedance 2.5, Starter covers 7 complete clips, Creator 25 and entry Fancy 70. On Wan 3.0 those allowances cover 27, 95 and 259. Mixing models or generating images reduces the video balance. The page also prices Nano Banana 2 images at 8 credits for 1K and GPT Image 2.5 at 2 credits for 1K.

The model menu includes Seedance 2.5, MiniMax H3, Wan 3.0, Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash, Pika 2.5 and Pikaframes. All video costs shown on the pricing page are 720p, with no published 1080p rate there. Compare direct Seedance pricing and Kling AI model pricing at the same resolution and duration before choosing a wallet. Our Pika vs Kling pricing comparison puts both side by side per clip and per 30 second ad.

A cheaper model can stretch the allowance when you are exploring a visual idea. That does not establish equal output quality or the same likelihood of getting a usable shot. Judge the model against your product and brief, then use its own rate to budget the selected approach rather than averaging unrelated models into a single cost per video.

Budget the usable footage

What a 30 second Pika video ad costs

Our example assembles six 5 second Seedance 2.5 shots into a 30 second ad. At 122 credits each, that uses 732 credits, worth $8.13 on a monthly plan. With three takes per shot, the total becomes 2,196 credits, or $24.40. Only Creator and above can cover that retake scenario from a monthly plan allowance.

Starter's 900 credits buy 7 complete Seedance clips, or 35 seconds of footage. That covers a 30 second edit without a full round of retakes. It does not guarantee that the generated product, movement and framing will all suit your intended cut. Unusable shots still consume the budget you need for the final edit.

Pika's own planner adds 25 percent for extra takes. Our three-take example is a separate planning assumption, not Pika's promised completion rate. Write the shot list before generating, and allow for script, voice, captions and assembly when comparing the footage cost with a finished ad service.

The $8.13 figure is an allocation of subscription value, not a standalone purchase price for a finished ad. You still pay for the plan and must use the remaining allowance within its period. If you only need an occasional edit, the share of your paid balance left unused can matter more than the theoretical cost of each successful shot.

Pika top-up credit packs vs a plan

Standard top-ups buy 60 credits per dollar on every plan, about $0.0167 per credit and 50 percent dearer than monthly plan credits. The minimum pack costs $25. A pack can bridge an unusual production month without permanently increasing your subscription, but it is an expensive way to fund regular output.

Pack price Creation credits Pack terms
$25 1,500Standard rate
$50 3,000Standard rate
$100 6,000Standard rate
$200 12,000Standard rate
$500 30,000Standard rate
$1,000 66,000Includes a 10 percent bonus

The $1,000 pack is the listed exception to the standard rate because it includes a bonus. The clip table uses the standard pack rate, not that bonus. Carryover makes packs useful for irregular work, but their 365 day expiry still matters. Buying packs on Free also leaves its watermark and lack of a commercial license unchanged.

Before purchasing a pack, separate a temporary shortfall from recurring demand. A launch that needs extra shots can justify paying more per credit to avoid a larger ongoing commitment. Repeating that purchase every production period calls for comparing a higher subscription allowance instead. Neither choice improves the standard monthly rate, so the decision turns on usage, expiry and timing.

Read before paying

Pika refunds, rollover, API and commercial license terms

Payments are non-refundable

Cancel any time and the paid plan stays active until the period ends, then becomes Free. Upgrades apply immediately and downgrades at the next period. Yearly billing saves on the credit rate, but cancellation is not a way to recover payment if the workflow proves unsuitable.

Plan and pack balances expire differently

Plan credits refresh each period and do not roll over. Top-up credits carry over but expire 365 days after purchase. Match your subscription to a normal production period rather than assuming unused allowance can accumulate for a future launch.

The API has separate pricing

Top-ups work only in Pika Create on pika.art and Pika MCP. They cannot fund the developer API, iOS app or old.pika.art. The pricing page does not publish API rates, so an automation budget needs a separate API quote rather than the credit conversions above.

Paid subscriptions include commercial rights

Free output is watermarked and lacks a commercial license. Starter removes the watermark and includes commercial use, as do the higher paid subscriptions. Treat the license as a plan feature when budgeting product ads, even if a Free account can buy enough credits to generate the footage.

Honest comparison

Pika vs UGCGen for product video ads

Pika is far cheaper per second of raw footage. Its menus include a Product Ad app, and its plan finder lists UGC ads and Product ads as use cases. Those labels do not make its published model allowance equivalent to a finished talking creator ad. Compare the work you receive and the editing you still need.

Choose Pika when you want to direct models, select takes and edit your own footage. UGCGen earns its higher price only when you want a finished talking creator ad without editing. Review UGCGen plans and production allowances, or explore the product URL to ad workflow before choosing which part of production to buy.

Keep talking video seconds, ad generations and hook variations separate when reading UGCGen's allowance. They describe different parts of the finished ad workflow and should not be added together as if they were raw model footage. Likewise, unlimited parallel generations on Pika Fancy means concurrent capacity, not an unlimited credit balance. Compare the deliverable first, then the allowance that limits how often you can produce it.

Questions buyers actually ask

Pika pricing questions, answered

How much does Pika cost?

Pika costs $10 a month for Starter, $35 for Creator and $95 to $880 for Fancy. Yearly billing lowers those monthly equivalents to $8, $28 and $76 to $704. Free has no monthly credits and uses purchased packs. Every monthly subscription buys 90 creation credits per dollar, without a volume discount.

Is Pika free?

Pika has a Free plan, but it includes no monthly creation credits. It is packs only, with watermarked output and no commercial license. The minimum top-up is $25. Free allows 2 parallel video generations and 2 image or audio generations, so a free account does not mean a free monthly production allowance.

What are the Pika pricing plans?

The Pika pricing plans are Free, Starter, Creator, Fancy and custom Enterprise, with a separate Team option. Starter includes 900 monthly creation credits, Creator includes 3,150 and Fancy starts at 8,550. Team uses Fancy-level seats with a minimum of 2. Creator carries the Best Value label, though its credit rate matches Starter.

How much is Pika Labs per month?

Pika Labs starts at $10 per month on monthly billing, or $8 per month with yearly billing, for Starter. Creator is $35 monthly or $28 yearly. Fancy runs from $95 to $880 monthly, with yearly equivalents of $76 to $704. Choose based on usage and parallel generation needs, since monthly credit value stays constant.

How many credits does a Pika video cost?

A 5 second 720p video costs 122 creation credits on Seedance 2.5 or 33 on Wan 3.0. Our arithmetic puts those clips at $1.36 and $0.37 on monthly subscription credits. The pricing page lists video costs at 720p only, so those figures do not establish a price for 1080p output.

Do Pika credits roll over?

Subscription credits do not roll over. They refresh each billing period, so unused plan credits cannot accumulate for a later campaign. Purchased top-up credits carry over and expire 365 days after purchase. Those packs work in Pika Create on pika.art and Pika MCP, but not in the API, iOS app or old.pika.art.

Does Pika offer refunds?

No. Pika payments are non-refundable, including when you cancel a subscription. You can cancel at any time, keep the paid plan until the period ends and then return to Free. Upgrades apply immediately, while downgrades apply next period. Check your actual generation needs before committing to yearly billing or a larger plan.

Can I use Pika for commercial ads?

Yes, paid Pika subscriptions include a commercial license, with Starter removing the watermark. Free does not include commercial rights, so purchasing a credit pack on Free is not a substitute for a paid commercial plan. Budget for both the subscription and the generations needed to produce footage you can use in an ad.

Is there a Pika API and how is it priced?

Yes. Pika has a separate developer API, but the pricing page does not publish API rates. Top-up creation credits cannot be spent on that API. They are limited to Pika Create on pika.art and Pika MCP, so do not use the subscription or pack calculations here as a developer API quote.

Is Pika cheaper than UGCGen for UGC ads?

Yes, Pika is far cheaper per second of raw footage. Our monthly credit calculation prices 30 seconds of Seedance 2.5 footage at $8.13 before retakes and editing. UGCGen Starter costs $49 for 19 seconds of talking creator video with script, voice, captions and hooks. UGCGen fits buyers who want a finished ad without editing.

Put your product into a finished creator ad

Pika makes sense when you want raw footage and control over the edit. If your next task is a talking creator ad with a script, voice, captions and hooks already assembled, start with your product URL in UGCGen.
